The QuikClot Trauma Pak is stripped down to the essentials for stopping bleeding and stopping it FAST. The Trauma Pak contains one 25 gram QuikClot Advanced Clotting Sponge which utilizes the 2nd Generation Zeolite bead technology. The QuikClot Trauma Pak is packed in a tough, waterproof pouch that can easily be packed in a pocket and when needed it can simply be ripped open. This is one item that you should always have on hand in the event of a serious injury. Put one in your backpack, briefcase, purse, and glove compartment. The life you save could be your own.The Zeolite beads are chemically inert and speed the clotting process to provide a stable blood clot much faster that simple direct pressure. Additionally, the 2nd Generation Zeolite Beads in the QuikClot ACS have been partially hydrated to mitigate heat generation that was a common complaint from the 1st Generation product. One final benefit of the Advanced Clotting Sponge (ACS) is that, unlike the 1st generation granular formula, the ACS can be applied in any direction, which is a major plus in the event of a vehicle accident.
