Maximum bang for buck! Malossi 282cc Performance Cylinder Kit for all Aprilia, Piaggio and Vespa 300cc Scooters (Quasar engine). The Piaggio Quasar engine fitted to all Aprilia, Piaggio and Vespa 300cc scooters is infact 278cc, cast iron construction. The Malossi 282cc performance cylinder kit for the Quasar makes a few significant improvements. Starting off, an additional 4cc – which may not seem like much, however the compression ratio with this cylinder is boosted from 10.5:1 up to a monstrous 12.5:1 (It needs to be run with 98 octane fuel). This cylinder also features full alloy construction for better heat exchange (cooling). This cylinder is designed to be used with the standard head. Malossi have conveniently done testing with this cylinder on a Dyno to show exact performance figures, see photo gallery for reference.
